Local Government Roundtable (LGR) Advisory Committee
The LGR Advisory Committee includes 30 members with three co-chairs. Ten members appointed from each of the three participating local government entities. Each local government entity will select its ten members and designate an advisory committee co-chair from among the ten appointments.
Each co-chair will also serve as chair of one of the three policy sub-committees. Policy sub-committee will have a balance of local government representation on each committee (3 County, 3 WD, 3 SWCD members plus the chair). Roundtable members are ex-officio members of the advisory committee and any subcommittee.
Each of the groups will be assigned a policy question to explore and send back written recommendations to the LGR by January 15, 2011. The three policy issues agreed upon for examination by the LGR are:
1. Watershed and Basin Water Management. (SWCD Chair)
2. Comprehensive Water Planning & Management -- structure and process. (WD Chair)
3. State Funding Process for Local Water Plan Implementation. (County Chair)
LGR will review recommendations from each sub-committee and make a consensus recommendation to all three local units of governments for final action by February 15, 2011.
In addition, the LGR will review Clean Water Council Recommendations for FY 2011-12 and comment where appropriate.
